Quickstart

What you need to get going

Welcome! With the Revio Debit Order API, you can generate ad-hoc or recurring debit order payments and collections.

Getting started

Contact our sales team at [email protected] to request your Revio Debit Order API username and password.

Our team will engage with you to understand your business and if we're a fit, they will provide you with the necessary credentials to get started. These credentials will enable you to generate access tokens within our sandbox environment.

The Revio Debit Order API incorporates an integrated simulation engine that accurately replicates banking processing operations. This engine facilitates the creation of mandates, collections, and payments using available funds.

We offer the following reference material to use for testing purposes, so that you can confidently launch your solution.

Merchant processing account

Revio allows enterprise merchants to leverage their current processing relationship with our sponsoring bank (Standard Bank) to process debit orders using Revio's API. In this model, funds are directly settled to your nominated bank account and the bank will bill you directly for transactional fees, based on your agreed pricing.

Alternatively, merchants can engage with Revio to set up a merchant processing account (TPPP model), providing additional settlement and reconciliation options, and tailored solutions that are much quicker to set up.

To determine the best option for your business, we encourage you to contact the Revio support team here. Our team will be more than happy to discuss your requirements and determine the optimal model to meet your specific needs. For more information on the different processing models, read our introduction to Collections here.

Going live

When you are ready to launch debit order collections, request Live credentials. Our team will share your new API keys to enable live processing.
